Set in 1955, VERONIKA VOSS features a faded Nazi starlet struggling with addiction, a victim of the collapse of the West German postwar dream. The last premiere of his films he lived to see, Fassbinder died of an overdose just months after its release. Shot it high contrast black&white, it is one of his most visually stunning works.
